PH teams feted for medal haul in STEM olympiads

THE Department of Science and Technology-Science Education Institute (DoST-SEI) honored the 2022 Philippine teams for their successful participation in the 63rd International Mathematical Olympiad, 54th Inter-national Chemistry Olympiad, 52nd International Physics Olympiad, 33rd International Biology Olympiad, and 34th Inter-national Olympiad for Informatics.

Team leader to the International Physics Olympiad (IPhO) delegation Dr. Jose Perico Esguerra said that although training time for the STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) olympiads was reduced compared to when they were able to train the students face-to-face, the nation’s future scientists stayed motivated to learn concepts in a short amount of time to prepare them for their competitions amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
